Latest MMDA Number Coding Scheme – August 2020 Covid 19 Pandemic Anouncement

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority – Since the opening of Metro Manila from ECQ status to Modified ECQ, MMDA has been updating their official website with latest UVVRP. This is known as the unified vehicular volume reduction scheme or the latest number coding scheme announcement.

A complete guide of the rules for implementing agencies under Covid-19 response is being posted for those with owned vehicles. One of them is thru the IATF (Inter Agecy Task Force) for the management of infectious diseases. Other memos can be found in the official website of the DOH. Note that announcements include implementation guidelines for strict health protocols in aid of the Bayanihan To Heal As One Law.

If you need a copy of the official MMDA announcement, you can go to the MMDA website. Alternately, you may see or visit the latest tweets of the agency in their official twitter account. A screenshot of the announcement is provided below. You can use that to deter or counter corrupt traffic enforcers in Metro Manila streets and other provinces. Complete contact details of the MMDA is also posted in the picture below. This includes viber number, email and hotline numbers. You can use these contact centers in cases of contestable apprehensions by traffic enforcers and authorities. Also for the purpose of informing enforcers lacking in right knowledge. Or to counter corrupt enforcers looking to extort money from commuters and vehicle owners.

As of latest update, announced July 3, 2020, the number coding scheme or UVVRP is still suspended until further notice. This issuance is in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. This memorandum is inclusive of implementation of strict health protocols/standards under the Department of Heath. This is also in particular to the T3 program of Secretary Francisco Duque for Usec Vinz Dizon.
